Worked on this with my sister and our friends.

The Last Boatbuilders

Image
Hi, everyone!  I'm currently working a documentary about the history of boatbuilding in Man-O-War Cay, Abaco in The Bahamas.  This is the beautiful little island where my grandmother is from.  I've been visiting Man-O-War since I was a little girl, and it is such an honour for me to tell this story about its rich heritage and the legacy of boatbuilding.  Please check out my film's Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/TheLastBoatbuilders  for more information!

John Carter Preview

Image
It's been over a year since I first spotted the trailer for Disney's John Carter coming out this Friday, and I must admit I've been hugely excited. With only a few days left, I was also overjoyed to discover this new 10 minute preview. What I saw did make me LOL a bit. Isn't it hilarious what Disney does with our favourite book characters? As a Narnian, I found it difficult to see how they turned the High King Peter into a scrappy teen who couldn't control his temper in Prince Caspian (2008) . In this, it seems as if Disney has turned the Warlord of Mars into almost a draft dodger! As I said, LOL! I think it still looks pretty exciting, and I can't wait. 5 days, oh yeah.

How things are going...
